QUICK UPDATES!

(P.S this is only a text-message. Reasons stated below)

Hello!

We apologise for the slow and irregular updating over the last couple of days. We would have loved to upload if it wasn't for the very very very tortoise slow unstable internet.

We wanna inform all of you that we are perfectly fine and pretty happy too. We look forward to going back home tomorrow! The blog and promised photos will be updated when we've reached our 'fast fast internet connection' back in Singapore.

Quick updates for Yesterday and Today (Tues and Wed):

1. We made Kimchi! and took a lot of photos with the president // chairwoman // BOSS (stay tuned for more photos!)

2. We visited the palace! and were guests at the doorstep and garden of the "Blue House" (equivalent to the White House and Istana).

3. We visited the MUSEUM! :) got a lot of pretty things.

4. Made a stop at Lotte World! (nope, no rides) But yes, SHOPPING! :) Everyone returned back to the bus tugging onto BAGS after bags. Don't panic! It's not just the girls, the guys brought back EVEN more. So mama and papa(s) of the guys, go search their luggage I tell you. Confirm can open MamaShop in your house :) Earn $$$! :)

5. Shopping at Insadong too, the noodles and dumplings there very nice :)

6. We just ate Ginseng Chicken Soup for dinner! The chicken inside got treasure one -- RICE! And we could add the hot hot wine, but most of us didn't :) Very low alcohol content!

7. We watched "Joint Security Area" (korean war show) on the bus! Was fun.

8. Most fun of all: We went to the 2nd best university today: Yonsei University of Korea! The Samsung Library was spectacular, the whole library didn't even contain a single printed book! Uber cool. The two student ambassadors were very friendly and hospitable.

We are currently sitting on our luggages, trying to shut them close for the trip back tomorrow. Please empty all your car boots for us okay! :)

See you tomorrow! :)

DAY ONE

DAY ONE

We arrived at Seoul, Incheon airport at about 6am. It was cold & wet when we got here and remained so for most part of the day.
Our first Korean meal of the day was Udon soup. It was nice and warm, perfect for the cold weather.
Yummy Breakfast!
Breakfast: Soup Udon....... + kimchi!!!!!!!!

Lunch was a classic Korean dish.. look at the pictures below:

Lunch: Bimimbap(Korean claypot rice) and somemore kimchi!!!!!!

Dinner was equally yummy:

Dinner: The real "Seoul Garden" = table bbq (only one type of meat: pork) and EVEN MORE KIMCHI!

With our stomachs filled we started our Learning Journey!
First stop: DMZ (Demilitarised Zone)
Outside the 3rd tunnel
We didnt get to take pictures inside thanks to security.........................................................
But we rode a tram down the 3rd tunnel

At the DORA observatory:

Do you see the yellow line on the ground? We were not allowed to take photos after the yellow line.
Hence the only picture we could take of North Korea looks like this (the small buildings far far away):

Next we went to the Dorasan Railway Station where there weren't any trains.

After lunch we went to the Korean War Museum:

Our Final stop for the day: Han River Cruise.

Here are some pictures of the sights along the banks of the Han River and of us on the cruise.

FYI
Hi, we are fine and well and uber happy with the korean delicacies. As our schedule tomorrow includes a night in traditional korean lodge called "hanok", there will be a possibility that we might not have internet access. As such, tomorrow's report might be delayed! :) We were terribly busy with our homework (sigh) but we are given adequate beauty SLEEP.

Toodles!

IMPORTANT IMPORTANT!

Well you see, the temperature for the above dates are going to be really low. So everyone, it's time to pack more more more more clothes! No one leaves the airport without 20 layers of clothes okay! Who cares if you look like a penguin!

Right, well, I've to remind all of you guys to please just bring more clothes, get a bigger luggage. Mrs Loo says it's better to overpack than underpack. Moreover, the temperature in Jeju island would be a lot colder. It might just snow! So go pack more warm clothings!

Bring along your beanies, ear muffs, gloves (don't get frost bites okay!), woolen socks, big big overcoats, heatpacks (very fun to play, you'll see!) and whatever you might need!

Our happy friendly teachers would also like to tell you guys to eat more fruits and vegetables and vitamins! Drink a lot of water! (not coke! Water!) Just be in the redPINK of health to see how pretty Korea is :)

Toodles! Happy packing!

(bring your thermometers, remember!)
